
Resonating with president-elect Donald Trump's crypto-friendly regime, Bitcoin (BTC) on Monday rose beyond the historical $108,000 mark for the second time.
Citing data issued by CoinGecko, ProPakistani reported that the world's biggest cryptocurrency was up 8% during the day so far, whereas, its gains over the previous seven days were reported 18% up.

Rising with the crypto frenzy rhythm, the new price of BTC is $108,740 as of now at the time of writing.
The biggest digital currency token first crossed the $108,000 mark last year on December 17 following Trump's announcement for the launch of a pilot Bitcoin national reserve in the US.
Especially ahead of Trump's inauguration ceremony slated to be held at the US Capitol Rotunda in Washington, the landscape of cryptocurrency has since been registering upward trends seen never before.
Bitcoin's record-high upsurge comes on the heels of Trump's recently launched $TRUMP jumping up 73% on Monday, generating an estimated market value of over $11 billion.
Following in the footsteps of these well-received currencies, Ethereum also rose by 4.7% to settle at $3,363, with digital tokens DOGE and Solana observing substantial upticks to settle at $0.377 and $262, respectively.
