As 2025 comes to an end, ChatGPT has introduced a Spotify Wrapped-style feature called “Your Year with ChatGPT”, giving users a personalised look back at how they interacted with the AI throughout the year.
Launched on December 22, 2025, the optional year-end recap reflects on a user’s chats from 2025. According to OpenAI, the feature highlights top conversation themes, usage stats, creative summaries, and even playful predictions for 2026.
Users can also view AI-generated poems, pixel-style art based on their interests, and light-hearted "awards" celebrating their chat habits.
The timing of the launch is notable, as uses of ChatGPT surged massively in 2025 amid the global AI boom. OpenAI says the platform now has nearly 900 million monthly active users, with people relying on the tool for writing, coding, research, learning, and creative brainstorming.
By summarising this information in a narrative format, OpenAI makes ChatGPT use feel more personal and memorable, rather than purely functional.
The experience includes information on the user's busiest days of chatting, total messages sent, chat style analysis, and even featured custom user "archetypes" such as Navigator, Tinkerer, or Creative Debugger.
Some have even said that whimsical touches, like pixel art visuals or short poems created based on the most common topics, were sent along.
Eligible users of its Free, Plus, and Pro plans have chat history enabled, though. For this group, the feature is available through a banner on the home screen or by simply typing, "Show me my year with ChatGPT."
The rollout started in select regions; however, business, team, and education accounts are excluded due to privacy. There were several users who reported some temporary errors; these are likely due to the gradual rollout.
