With the launch of the Galaxy S25 successor inching closer with each passing day, a recent leak has spilt the beans on the Samsung Galaxy S26, claiming that the phone will feature a slimmer design and an upgraded wireless charging technology.
Citing @UniverseIce, a reliable tipster, TechRadar reported that the Galaxy S26 will measure 6.9 mm thick, making it thinner than the Galaxy S25 with 7.2 mm thickness.
The rumour pertaining to the Galaxy S26's immensely slim form factor follows a trend of slimmer devices, which kicked off after the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge, which measures just 5.8 mm thick.
The most significant enhancement is the inclusion of a Qi2 charging coil, enabling full Qi2 wireless charging capabilities. This marks a shift from previous models, which were only Qi2-ready and required special cases for optimal functionality.
The Galaxy S26 will support magnetic attachment for chargers and accessories, akin to Apple’s MagSafe system.
The new Galaxy S variant is also anticipated to feature a vertical pill-shaped camera module on the back, housing three rear cameras, although specific camera specifications remain undisclosed.
While the Galaxy S25 was introduced in January 2025, the S26 is anticipated to be unveiled in February or March 2026, with speculation suggesting a launch event on Wednesday, February 25.
The upcoming Galaxy S lineup is expected to continue Samsung’s longstanding legacy of innovation and design excellence in the smartphone market.
