The realm of AI has heated up so much over the past few months owing to the rise in new, yet formidable, AI tools. Given that, Getty Images, a renowned and reliable source of royalty-free images, has released the "cleanest" visual dataset in a bid to train AI models.

By dropping its images that are acquired from prominent photographers and videographers across the globe, Getty Images aims to establish itself as a potential player in the hard-fought AI market.

The platform said it's releasing its images from its library in the form of a sample dataset on Hugging Face, a US-based form which develops computation tools for building applications using machine learning.

As the platform is already cramped with a treasure trove of visual datasets, Getty Images claims that its images stand out for being free of commercial concerns, meaning they're all rightfully acquired from owners and no copyright claims will be faced by those utilising them.

As it stands, AI developers can integrate Getty Images' visual dataset in their AI/ML-driven tools without caring about legal issues.

“Imagine building or enhancing your AI/ML capabilities with data that’s not only diverse and high quality but also comes with the peace of mind that it’s responsibly sourced. That’s what we’re bringing to the table,” said Getty Images' Director of ML/AI Andrea Gagliano.
