Google has introduced new search gestures for iPhone users globally, allowing them to search for anything on their screen quickly.

This new Lens feature is similar to the Android’s built-in “Circle to Search”, which also lets users search what’s on their screen using a variety of gestures.

Lens feature on iOS

The feature is available on the Google app and Chrome browser on iOS, enabling users to highlight text, images, or videos and instantly search for relevant information.

iPhone users can draw, highlight, or tap on anything to begin a search, eliminating the need to take a screenshot or open a new tab.

The feature also offers a wide range of capabilities such as finding shopping results based on product images, defining words and phrases, identifying locations, plants and animals, and performing various other search requests.

How to access Lens feature on iPhone?

To access this new feature in the Chrome or Google app, iPhone users need to open the three-dot menu and select “Search Screen with Google Lens.”

Moreover, Google noted that users will be able to access the feature later through a new Lens icon in the address bar.

Additionally, Google has announced that it will expand AI overviews to more lens search results, providing users with summarised information and URLs.
