Google updated its Gemini assistant with support for the new Personal Intelligence feature that allows the AI chatbot to personalise responses. Alphabet-owned Google on Tuesday reportedly integrated another new feature, named 'Answer Now', to its AI assistant with the aim of delivering faster reponses to users.

According to 9to5Google report, 'Answer Now' feature allows users to receive instant replies to their queries on the Gemini app. It appears alongside the spinning status indicator for users on Gemini 3 Pro and Gemini 3 Thinking/Flash.

How does 'Answer Now' works on Gemini?

When a user ask a question using the Gemini 3 Pro or Gemini 3 Thinking (Gemini 3 Flash) model, they will reportedly be able to view the 'Answer Now' option next to the spinning status indicator while the AI assistant generates a response. The feature prompts a confirmation stating that Gemini is “skipping in-depth thinking,” and delivers a quick response.

According to the three-dot overflow menu at the end of the response, Gemini continues to use the selected model to generate the reply, rather than switching to the Fast model.

Gemini 'Answer Now' feature availability

Google is reportedly planning to launch 'Answer Now' feature to free and paid users of the Gemini app across Android, iOS, and the web platforms.
