World’s richest man Elon Musk and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg have always been the epitome of gossip due to their rivalry and fortunes. While some weigh them equally there is one thing that is different between the two.

Musk, who owns multi-billion businesses, lacks one thing that some of his tech sector colleagues especially Zuckerberg have — and that is greater power.

Yahoo reported that Tesla CEO Musk had threatened to continue working on generative artificial intelligence (AI) elsewhere unless the company’s board increased his ownership position to 25%.

He claimed that he sought increased ownership not due to the money but because he wanted increased authority over decisions.

He even proposed obtaining a different class of shares that would give him more voting power without reducing the value of the company's current shares or requiring it to pay out billions of dollars in further remuneration.

It should be noted that Zuckerberg has power over his company through super-voting shares, which is part of the dual-class share plan.

It seems like Musk is envying Zuckerberg's possessions. However, examining the structure highlights the boundaries of unbridled presidential power and the problematic aspects of establishing uneven voting rights.
