Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has revealed its first localised electric SUV, the Hyundai Creta EV in India. The official launch of the EV will take place at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025, from January 17 to January 22.

The Creta EV is a testament to Hyundai’s commitment to innovation and sophistication. It boasts a fresh design, cutting-edge technology, and overall remarkable performance.

The Creta EV is available in four variants: Executive, Smart, Premium, and Excellence, as well as 3 matte colours.

Hyundai Creta EV features

The Hyundai Creta comes in two battery variants: 51.4 kWh (Long Range) and 42kWh.

The long-range variant is claimed to deliver a driving range of up to 473 kilometres on a single charge, while the one with the 42kWh battery pack has a range of 390 kilometres.

DC charging can charge the SUV from 10% to 80% in only 58 minutes, while the 11kW Smart Connected Wall Box charger (AC Charger) can charge the vehicle from 10% to 100% in four hours.

Moreover, the long-range variant can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in only 7.9 seconds.

The Creta SUV also features active air flaps (AAF), connected LED lamps on the front and rear, and aero alloy wheels.

With this SUV, the automobile manufacturer aims to compete with Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti Suzuki e Vitara, in the mid-size electric SUV market.

Furthermore, the bookings for the Hyundai Creta EV are currently open; however, the pricing is expected to be announced later this month.
