
Intel has officially unveiled its AI-enabled Intel Core Ultra 200S series, adding to its line of desktop processors.
Code named Arrow Lake, the new processors are led by Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, promising upgrades in gaming and AI-driven tasks.
“We’ve designed the Intel Core Ultra 200S series with a focus on powerful performance, AI capability, and energy efficiency,” stated Intel vice president and general manager of Client AI and Technical Marketing Robert Hallock.
“This launch represents our commitment to deliver advanced AI capabilities on desktop platforms, setting new standards in both gaming and content creation,” Hallock added.

Intel Core Ultra 200S series key specs
The new Intel Core Ultra 200S series includes five unlocked desktop processors built with up to 8 next-generation performance cores and 16 efficient cores.
The Core Ultra 200S series has also introduced NPU (Neural Processing Unit) to desktop processors. It is said to deliver up to 50% faster AI performance compared to competitor flagship processors.
The Core Ultra 200S series can deliver up to 14% higher multi-threaded performance compared to its predecessor.
Coming towards the gaming capability, the new processors come equipped with an integrated Xe GPU for improved graphics performance, making them a great option for gamers.
Intel’s Core Ultra 200S series also includes 20 CPU PCIe 5.0 lanes, 4 CPU PCIe 4.0 lanes, up to 8 SATA 3.0 ports, support for 2 integrated Thunderbolt 4 ports, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3 for connectivity.
Intel Core Ultra 200S series availability
Intel’s new Core Ultra 200S series processors will be available at retail stores and online starting October 24, 2024.
