Meanwhile, Sam Altman, the OpenAI CEO, will provide the software capabilities needed for the project.

Apple’s product design head will depart from the company in February 2024, as noted by Reuters.

Jony Ive is a former employee of the tech giant Apple who left the company in 2019, in a bid to establish his own design firm and to make Apple one of its clients. Meanwhile, the design firm LoveFrom is led by Jony Ive, the designer of Apple’s various flagship products.

As part of the effort, outgoing Apple executive Tang Tan will join Ive’s design firm LoveFrom, which will shape the look and capabilities of the new products, according to people familiar with the matter.

On December 8 it was announced that Tang Tan is leaving in February. Now Bloomberg reports that he’ll be joining former Apple design master Jony Ive’s design firm LoveFrom.

Bloomberg’s latest report aligns with the Dec 8 announcement wherein Apple said that the Apple design master will be leaving in February.

During his time at Apple, Tan worked across a variety of Apple products, including the iPhone and Apple Watch.

With Tan bidding adieu to the company, the responsibilities to look after the development of the iPhone‌ and the Apple Watch design move to the shoulders of the head of ‌iPhone‌ product design Richard Dinh and Mac hardware engineering Vice President Kate Bergeron, respectively.
