As a flock of speculations has generated unsurmountable buzz around Apple's Glowtime event slated to kick off on September 9 next week, the latest rumour hints at a feature reportedly inspired by Android.
Quoting 9to5Mac, Android Authority reported that the iPhone 16 Pro series could shoot at 4K resolution augmented by a rare 120fps refresh rate, up from the previous support for capturing videos at 4K accompanied by 60fps Apple featured on the iPhone 15 series.
The compatibility of this calibre's hardware is only offered by a handful of Android at the moment, including Sony’s Xperia 1 phones, the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the vivo X100 Ultra.

The feature allows users to shoot slow-motion videos which isn't as slow as the current 1080p/240fps modes, but that even brings crispier details to the table.
Smartphone brands such as Sony and Vivo even offer 4K/120fps video recording as an easy-going functionality on their periscope lenses which ultimately results in enhanced flexibility.
However, there's no concrete word from the Cupertino-based tech giant whether each of the iPhone 16 Pro series' lenses will support 4K/120fps video. Nevertheless, the outlet also reports that users can connect external storage to the new iPhones and record ProRes 4K video at 120fps.
The most notable point is that 8K video recording is also deep in the testing phase at Apple's manufacturing facility. If comes to fruition, this would be another unparalleled feature which would rank the upcoming iPhone 16 series in the top-notch segment of smartphones.
