Lahore to launch 35 new electric buses on Canal Road

Lahore is planning to launch 35 new electric buses on a brand-new green electric bus route, marking a major step towards sustainable public transport.

The buses are scheduled to arrive next week and will run along Canal Road, which runs through the crowded area between Thokar and Jallo Mor. Regular operations will begin in the first week of October.

This project is a component of a larger strategy to lower harmful emissions and enhance urban mobility

There are currently 27 electric buses operating on the city's green bus route, which connects Green Town and Railway Station. 

The Canal Road service will relieve traffic, give residents a contemporary and reasonably priced mode of transport, and broaden Lahore's environmentally friendly network.

To commemorate the introduction of this new service and demonstrate the city's dedication to environmentally friendly transport, a special inauguration ceremony has been organised.

Lahore's goal of a cleaner, greener, and more effective public transport system is emphasised by this action.

These new electric buses will provide residents with a practical and reasonably priced form of transportation while also lowering air pollution and traffic congestion.

This puts Lahore in a position to lead the region in sustainable urban transport and establish a standard that other cities can follow.
