Gear up, shoppers, and get ready for a battle of the e-commerce giants as Amazon announced that the Great Republic Day Sale will kick start on January 13 — a day earlier than Flipkart's, which will go live on January 14.
This is the correct time to maximize your savings and snag the best deals on electronics, fashion, home goods, and more as both e-commerce giants are gearing up to present a show like never before.
Moreover, if you are a subscriber of Prime you can access deals and discounts before everybody else on Amazon.
It should be noted that people eagerly wait for the Republic Day Sale as it only brings discounts on various products it also allows buyers to secure additional discounts on eligible bank cards.

Amazon announced the date on its website on Wednesday, sharing that the Great Republic Day Sale will begin at 12pm on January 13; meanwhile, Amazon Prime subscribers can access the same deals 12 hours earlier at midnight.
Moreover, if you are an Amazon Prime subscriber you can also avail free one-day and two-day shipping on several products along with access to Amazon’s music and video streaming services.
Also if you own a SBI Bank credit card or EMI transaction then you can — according to the information available on Amazon’s website — also avail of an additional 10% discount on consumer electronics among other products.
It was learnt that smartphones and accessories will be available at up to 40% discounts. While up to 75% discount is expected on laptops, tablets, smartwatches, and other accessories.
Similarly, smart TVs, and home appliances like washing machines, refrigerators, and air conditioners can also be purchased with discounts of up to 65% during the sale. Amazon further said that customers can exchange eligible older devices and appliances to further lower the cost of these products, during the sale.
