The Moto G85 5G has appeared on a benchmarking website, indicating that the company's next midrange G-series smartphone might be released soon.

The handset's successor might have an updated Snapdragon CPU developed using Qualcomm's 4nm technology. According to the description, the Moto G85 5G would come pre-installed with Android 14.

Moreover, it was previously discovered on a retail website, giving fans an indication of what to anticipate in terms of price. The Moto G85 5G has recently been listed on the testing website Geekbench, providing information on the successor to the Moto G84 5G.

In addition, the device would have an octa-core CPU with two performance cores clocked at 2.30GHz and six efficiency cores with a max clock speed of 2.02GHz.

The CPU in the Moto G85 listing is codenamed "Malmo" and does not relate to any known model from the US chipmaker. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 3 processor, which Qualcomm has yet to reveal, is expected to power the phone.

Motorola's upcoming G-series smartphone will run on Android 14. It is also indicated to have 8GB of RAM, whereas, a source suggests that it will also come in a form with 12GB of memory, which was advertised on a European retailer's website for €300 (approximately INR 27,100).

However, people may expect to learn more about the Moto G85 5G in the following weeks (or months, since the Lenovo-owned smartphone manufacturer has yet to declare plans to launch the successor to the Moto G84 5G) before its release.
