The Lenovo-owned brand, Motorola is planning to announce a new smartphone in India. The company is hinting at their new smartphone launch through social media.

However, Motorola is yet to unveil the name and release date of the forthcoming smartphone. According to a leak, the name of the smartphone would be Motorola Edge 50 5G.

Motorola Edge 50 5G launch date

The Motorola Edge 50 is said to be launched in India on August 1 and will be available on Flipkart, along with the company’s online store post-launch.

According to a recent leak, Motorola has unveiled the Moto Edge 50 will be available in three colour options. The Jungle Green and Pantone Peach Fuzz colours will come with a vegan leather back, and the Koala Grey variant will feature a vegan suede back.

Moreover, a tipster has shared a set of supposed renders of the smartphone that indicate the upcoming Motorola Edge 50 5G could be launched in three colour options. It is expected to house a triple rear camera system.

Tipster Sudhanshu Ambhore (@Sudhanshu1414) said that it is the same handset Motorola is teasing on social media platforms.

Additionally, it is said to be the world's slimmest phone with MIL-STD-810 certification for military-grade durability.

It appears to have curved edges with minimal bezels and a hole-punch cutout on the display housing the selfie camera.

The Motorola Edge 50 5G is expected to feature a 6.4-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It is said to run on MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. The triple rear camera setup of the phone is tipped to include a 50MP primary camera.

Motorola is claimed to pack a 32MP selfie camera on the Motorola Edge 50. It is likely to boast a 4,400mAh battery supporting 68W fast charging.

A triple camera setup is spotted arranged in the upper left corner of its rear panel, along with the LED flash. The camera island appears to be slightly raised, and the Motorola batwing logo is seen at the centre of the rear panel.

Additionally, the right spine of the handset seems to feature the power and volume buttons.
