The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Wednesday announced special facilities for persons with disabilities across Pakistan, aiming to provide them with better recognition in the country without any issues.
On the occasion of 'International Day of Persons with Disabilities', the authority said that its commitment is to ensure "no individual, regardless of disability, should be deprived of identity."
Nadra provides persons with disabilities a special identification card, issued free of charge for the first time and valid for life. Special people can also benefit from services through the Pak-ID mobile application.
Moreover, they can easily book appointments at the nearest Nadra centre via the dedicated helpline number.
Special facilities for persons with disabilities at Nadra centre:
- Executive category processing without queues.
- Wheelchair availability at Nadra offices.
- Priority services with special tokens.
- Appointment booking via helpline.
- Issuance of special identification cards.
- First-time issuance is free of charge and valid for life.
- Over 1 million ID cards have been issued with a distinctive mark.
- Disability registration.
- Appointment booking through the Pak-ID mobile app.
