Federal Minister of Energy Awais Leghari on Tuesday directed all electricity distribution companies (Discos), including K-Electric, to provide uninterrupted supply during Sehri and Iftar in Ramadan 2026.

The Power Division, in its standard operating procedures (SOPs), said all Discos to efficiently address electricity consumer complaints and avoid unannounced load-shedding.

Disco chief executive officers are also directed to establish control rooms to monitor operations during Ramadan 2026.

However, areas with high electricity losses will continue to face anti-theft measures, while load management in these regions will be adjusted outside Sehr and Iftar hours.
