The National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Monday issued an important advisory, advising citizens to collect their Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs) from nearest centre within the given time.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the authority said: "Receive your ID card from the Nadra office on time. After submitting the application to the Nadra office, receive your CNIC as soon as possible after the specified period.
"According to the policy, if the identity card is not received, it is destroyed 3 months after the due date of delivery," added Nadra.
In addition, to avoid any type of inconvenience, the authority advised citizens to use the Pak-ID mobile application or opt for the home delivery service at the time of application. These options allow CNICs to be delivered directly to applicants’ addresses, eliminating the need for repeated visits or standing in long queues at the Nadra centres.
Last week, Nadra announced that Pakistanis can now apply for an ID card from the Pak-ID mobile app and NADRA office, select the "Home Delivery" option and get the ID card delivered to their home.
Now, you don't have to take the tension of going to the nearest Nadra centre to receive your CNIC, as the authority will deliver it to your home.
