
OnePlus smartphones have made it to a colossal extent of reputation because of its first few series and the latest OnePlus 12, the company's first foldable phone.
However, reports of an unidentified hardware bug might leave an indelible mark on that reputation, as users of some OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 10.
Although it has emerged out of the blue, the hardware problem is reportedly causing the devices to crash, leaving users frustrated and requiring repairs that cost heftily.

The reports of OnePlus phones having hardware problems came from the OnePlus Community forum and X (formerly Twitter), where some users were found expressing inconvenience while others detailed the exact scene of their OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 10 flagships dying.
As reported by Android Police, a large number of OnePlus 10 Pro users claimed to have witnessed their phones dying, displaying no sort of warning or notification prior.
Some experts are attributing this cessation of OnePlus hardware to a random occurrence or due to some overheating problem during charging.
After taking some of the dead OnePlus phones to the OnePlus franchise for inspection, users were notified by OnePlus representatives of the dead motherboard which must be replaced to get the device to function again.
