Oppo’s next A-series model, the Oppo A6x, has appeared in its first major leak, giving an early look at the phone’s design, battery, and charging capabilities.

The leak comes from X tipster Abhishek Yadav, who shared what appears to be an official promotional image yet to be released by the company.

Oppo A6x specifications (expected)

Reportedly, the leaked image shows a 6,500mAh battery paired with 45W SuperVOOC fast charging, positioning the Oppo A6x as a long-lasting budget 5G device. The design also makes its debut in this leak, showing two colour options with a flat-edge frame.

The setup of cameras includes non-circular lenses, just like the Oppo A6 Pro, sans the square island, which makes it look cleaner.

Since Oppo has already started preparing promotional materials, the launch of the A6x is likely imminent.

However, the only image leaked is that of the device's back, so for now, the front design and display specifications are yet to be confirmed.

Given that the promotional image has 5G branding, it's likely that the phone will adopt a mid-range chipset. The predecessor, the Oppo A5x, came with the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, running at 2.4 GHz, and provided decent performance for a budget price.

The A5x also had a 1000-nit 120 Hz IPS LCD, IP65 dust and water resistance, and MIL-STD shock protection under Oppo’s “360° Armour Body” design.

Given Oppo's consistent strategy within its A-series lineup, the A6x will more than likely retain many of the same strengths as the A5x with enhancements in the battery and charging.
