Pakistan Customs is reportedly holding a huge public auction of luxury Land Rover vehicles on Thursday (October 30) at the Silk Route Dry Port, Sost, under the Collectorate of Customs Gilgit-Baltistan.

There will be multiple luxury Land Rover Defender and Land Rover Station Wagon models available for bidding, both of which are known for their durability and off-road capabilities.

The customs authority noted that all vehicles being auctioned will be available to view at the Silk Route Dry Port first.

The vehicles that would be available at the auction are as follows:

Vehicle Type

Model Year

Land Rover 110 Station Wagon 2000
Land Rover 90 Hard Top 2000
Land Rover Defender 110 Station Wagon 2005
Jeep Land Rover (Discovery)
Double Cabin Pickup Toyota Hilux 1996
Toyota Pickup (4th Quarter) 1996

This is part of a more significant initiative from Pakistan Customs to dispose of confiscated and non-duty-paid vehicles consistent with the law. Officials are expecting spirited bidding given the growing popularity of imported and vintage off-road vehicles in Pakistan.

Interested bidders have been encouraged to register and verify to participate in the auction.
