In the most recent Henley Passport Index, Pakistan's passport has fallen a few spots to 103rd place worldwide, tied with Yemen.

Pakistani nationals can now enter 31 countries without a visa, compared to 32 previously, according to the index. This decrease indicates that Pakistani citizens' freedom to travel the world is steadily declining.

Global passport ranking 2025

The Henley Passport Index counts the number of places that can be reached without a previous visa to determine how strong a passport is.

Singapore's passport is the strongest in the world, with 193 destinations accessible. South Korea and Japan come in second and third place with access to 190 and 189 locations, respectively.

India's passport, which grants visa-free entry to 57 countries, has also fallen to 85th place from 77th earlier this year.

China and Pakistan's neighbouring nations have improved their passport rankings. Due to its growing diplomatic and visa-free agreements throughout Asia, Europe, and South America, China's passport ranked 64th.

Pakistani citizens' freedom of travel is impacted by the drop in passport rankings, which makes it harder for them to travel abroad without a visa.

This may have an impact on tourism, business, and education, underscoring the necessity of diplomatic initiatives to enhance visa regulations and boost passport rankings.
