This new service, starting on November 6, 2024, is designed to make the journey to Raiwind easier and more accessible.

Karachi to Raiwind special train schedule
According to the Ministry of Railways, the first train will depart from Karachi at 1:30pm and is expected to reach Raiwind by 8:00am the following morning.
The special train will consist of 14 economy-class coaches, aiming to offer budget-friendly travel for passengers making the trip. PR expects to generate around Rs8.5 million from this service, contributing to its larger goal of earning over Rs100 billion in revenue for the 2024-25 fiscal year.
Pakistan Railways CEO Amir Ali Baloch expressed gratitude to passengers for their continued trust and support, especially highlighting the success of the Eid special trains, which were fully booked. He attributed the revenue increase to enhanced services and efficient operations within PR.
This Karachi-Raiwind service is part of Pakistan Railways’ broader strategy to improve customer experience while also strengthening its financial position.
