
In a bid to facilitate fortunate Hajj pilgrims, Pakistan's national carrier and the government have sealed an agreement to operate Hajj flights for 2025.
Part of the agreement — signed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA)— mandates the provision of travel services to 35,000 government-registered Hajj pilgrims, according to the ministry spokesperson.
During the signing of the contract by PIA CEO Aamir Hayat and religious affairs additional secretary Dr Syed Attaur Rahman, the former highlighted the airline’s commitment to ensuring top-notch travel facilities for pilgrims.

Finalisation of such agreements with Saudi Airlines and other local carriers is also on the horizon, Samaa quoted the ministry spokesperson as saying.
Regarding the travel amenities announced for government-registered pilgrims, federal minister for religious affairs Chaudhry Salik Hussain, alongside the minister secretary announced Pakistan’s Hajj Policy 2025 in a press conference On November 11, elaborating in great detail the procedures, costs, and regulations inherent.
Pakistan's quote for Hajj 2025
As per the policy in question, Pakistan's quota for Hajj pilgrims for 2025 is 179,000, which has reportedly, equally been distributed between government and private schemes.
Except for government-sponsored Hajj aspirants who will be exempted from the draw results, the draw for the government Hajj scheme will take place on December 6, with a “first-come, first-served” principle following the application process running from November 18 to December 3, 2024.
