In a distressing development, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has suspended flights from Pakistan to Turkiye for a temporarily specified period.
The decision was reportedly made due to the passenger count being low and not aligning with the required volume for a flight to take off for Turkiye.
Coming into effect as a temporary halt, the flights from Pakistan to Turkiye will be resumed after October 13.

“We have not been receiving inventory from Turkiye; therefore, the flights were stopped until October 13,” explained a PIA spokesman.
He added that the lack of travellers willing to journey to Turkiye prompted the national carrier to exercise restraint.
Regarding the speculations pertaining to some technical follies, the spokesperson clarified that there had been no other issues leading to the cancellation of the international flight.
A PIA higher-up recently went to Turkiye to get the code-sharing agreement with Turkish Airlines successfully renewed, he noted.
