Apple is expected to launch two foldable devices — 20.3″ MacBook and a 7.9” foldable iPhone — which would likely adopt an outward folding design, similar to Huawei Mate Xs 2.
It suggests a single screen design that completely covers both the front and back of the device when folded, and unfolds into a continuous, flat display.
According to tipster Jeff Pu, the folded device is expected to hit the market in 2026, which could significantly shift market dynamics. Additionally, a 20.3″ MacBook, compared to the ThinkPad X1 with its inward folding design, is set for release in 2025.

However, the outward folding display design has plenty of benefits which includes the mitigation of a cover display, by lowering the weight, thickness, and more. It also includes the back screen covering which enables the users for personalisation along with the selfies by the original camera.
The inward display works as a protector for the flexible screen which can easily be adjusted to approximately 90° to use like a laptop.
