Samsung has begun rolling out the latest security update for its previous flagship, the Galaxy S23 lineup, which includes the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra. These devices will be receiving the August 2024 security patch.
The Galaxy S23 series initially received the August 2024 security update in the US last week, but now several other countries have also started receiving the update.
The new software update for the Galaxy S23 series is now available in several countries, including Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Africa, Thailand, the Philippines, the UAE, Tunisia, Turkey, and Vietnam.

The update enhances device security, fixes security vulnerabilities, and improves system optimisation, but it does not introduce significant changes to the user experience.
Samsung users can check for the availability of the update on their Galaxy S23 series devices by visiting "Settings" and then "Software update." From there, they can download and install the update.
The update carries the build number S91xBXXS6CXG8 and includes the August 2024 security patch, which addresses nearly 50 security vulnerabilities.
Furthermore, Samsung devices are expected to receive the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update later this year.
