Sony has officially announced an increase in PlayStation (PS) 5 prices again, including a $100 hike in the United States (US), marking its second hike in less than a year as the Japanese firm grapples with rising costs of memory chips.
The company, in a blog post, said: "We know that price changes impact our community, and after careful evaluation, we found this was a necessary step to ensure we can continue delivering innovative, high-quality gaming experiences to players worldwide."
Sony's updated retail prices for PS5 consoles are set to be effective from April 2, 2026.
