Microsoft has officially announced a reduction in the subscription prices of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. Subscribers can access to hundreds of video games, after the company’s new gaming leader promised to “recommit to our core Xbox fans and players.”
Microsoft, in a blog post, stated: "Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will continue to have access to Xbox Game Pass games on Xbox console and PC including current Call of Duty titles, in-game benefits, online console multiplayer, unlimited Xbox Cloud Gaming, and major day one releases.
"You can find more details on Game Pass Ultimate, Game Pass Premium, Game Pass Essential, and PC Game Pass plans here, and manage your account here," said the company, adding that this change responds to a lot of feedback we’ve gotten so far. "We’ll continue to listen and learn."
Game Pass Ultimate new price
Microsoft stated that the flagship Game Pass Ultimate service, which allows gamers to download titles on PCs and Xbox consoles and stream games on mobile devices, has been cut to $22.99 per month from $29.99. The more limited PC Game Pass is now $13.99, down from $16.49.
It is important to note that the price drops are being fueled in part by future Call of Duty titles no longer joining Game Pass Ultimate or PC Game Pass at launch.
“New Call of Duty games will be added to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass during the following holiday season (about a year later), while existing Call of Duty titles already in the library will continue to be available,” said Microsoft.
