Vivo has officially revealed the launch date of its upcoming mid-range smartphone, the Vivo Y400, in Pakistan. The launch date is September 2, 2025, and the company has started teasing one of its features, flagship-level durability.
The Vivo Y400 has an IP69 rating, making it one of the most durable phones in its niche. A user can keep it submerged for up to 30 minutes at 1.5 metres underwater without issue.
In addition, it passed extreme tests, including exposure to 80°C hot water jets, and protects against accidental spills. From a creative perspective, Vivo added a special processing capability for underwater photography, as well as a wet-touch feature for better usability whilst filming and working with the phone in wet conditions.
Besides the toughness of the product, the smartphone is also equipped with a massive 6000mAh battery attached to 44W fast charging. They developed new Si/C cell technology, which is impressive.
The cells decrease the thickness and weight of the battery while still charging faster than standard cells.

The Vivo Y400 display is also impressive, featuring a 6.67" AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and 1800 nits peak brightness to work in the outdoors.
Moreover, the internal is powered by the Snapdragon 685 chipset along with Android 15 and FunTouch OS 15. It features performance that is energy efficient, although the chipset is limited to 4G LTE, and the phone may not be capable of heavy gaming.
On the camera side, the Y400 carries a 50MP + 2MP dual rear setup and an 8MP selfie shooter. Compared to the recently released Vivo Y300, the Y400 provides a bigger battery and improved optimisation, making it a stronger option for long usage.
The phone will be available in Dynamic Green and Pearl White finishes. Vivo has not yet revealed the official Vivo Y400 price in Pakistan, but with the launch just days away, the company is expected to announce it soon.
