With the automotive landscape undergoing significant leaps, Tata has unveiled the 2025 Nano electric vehicle (EV) in India.
Originally launched in 2008, this four-wheeler was hailed as the world’s cheapest car designed to provide an affordable alternative in the country.
Now in 2025, the native automobile manufacturer has evolved the Nano into something far more revolutionary.
2025 Tata Nano EV features
The 2025 Tata Nano EV has retained its compact dimensions, measuring 3.1 metres in length, 1.5 metres in width, and 1.6 metres in height.
However, the design has registered a notable transformation, incorporating modern elements to enhance its efficiency and aesthetic appeal.
The 2025 Nano EV boasts a sleek, aerodynamic profile, LED headlamps and taillights, and a redesigned front grille that hints at its electric powertrain.
The Nano EV’s all-electric powertrain has been developed utilising Tata Motors' experience with the successful Nexon EV. It features a powerful electric motor, producing 40 kW of power.
The EV is available with two battery options: a standard 15 kWh lithium-ion battery and an extended-range 25 kWh lithium-ion battery.
In terms of charging, the Tata Nano EV supports standard home charging, which takes 6 hours to charge the battery from 0-80%.
The electric vehicle also features fast charging capability, which can charge the battery from 0-80% in just 45 minutes.
The Nano EV also offers connected car features, including remote monitoring and over-the-air updates, providing a seamless and convenient experience.
2025 Tata Nano EV price
The Tata Nano EV 2025 is priced at INR 200,000, making it a safe and affordable choice for eco-friendly urban transportation in India.
