Changan is reportedly gearing up to launch its new SUV, named 'Changan UNI-S', in Pakistan, while the company has not yet announced the official price, and booking details. 

The company said that the UNI-S is a high-tier C-segment SUV, In terms of dimensions, it is larger than rivals such as the Honda HR-V, Haval Jolion, and Jaecoo J5.

What to expect from Changan UNI-S SUV?

It is important to note that 'UNI' means Yinli (引力), which translates to the word ‘gravity’. Changan selected this name to represent a gravitational pull or a force of attraction between the driver, the machine, and the future, to attract young and tech-savvy consumers.

For the S in the end, while not officially confirmed, it is widely believed to stand for Sport, Smart, or Superior.

The vehicle is expected to be built around a ‘fluid motion’ design language, featuring sleek lines meant to mimic the natural flow of water.

The company is likely to launch UNI-S SUV in two powertrains:

  1. Hybrid
  2. Non-hybrid turbo petrol

Changan UNI-S SUV price in Pakistan (expected)

To compete with rivals like Haval, Jetour, and others, Changan might set an introductory price bracket of Rs75-85 lacs of the Changan UNI-S as a viable option for buyers.

The vehicle might feature a host of advanced technologies, and the UNI-S SUV seems to attract buyers looking for a 1.5-liter turbo petrol SUV.
