Kia Motors on Tuesday issued a key update for its customers in Pakistan, following the increase in hi-octane price, that Kia cars do not require hi-octane fuel and can operate efficiently on commonly available petrol.

Taking to its Instagram post, Kia Motors Pakistan said: "Kia vehicles are designed and tested to operate efficiently using unleaded fuel with a minimum octane rating of RON 91+, as clearly specified in the Owner's Manual.

"Customers can confidently continue using RON 91+ fuel (commonly sold as Super or Premier), which is widely available across Pakistan, without any concerns regarding performance or reliability. Usage or mixing of Hi-Octane fuel is not mandatory for Kia models in Pakistan," added Kia Motors Pakistan.

"However, we strongly advise our customers to refuel only from reputable and trusted fuel stations with uncontaminated/un-adultered fuel," said Kia Pakistan, adding that autorised dealer network remains available to assist you with any further queries or guidance you may need.
