
Acer unveiled its first-ever handheld gaming PC Nitro Blaze 7 at Acer’s Global Press Conference (GPC) 2024 on Wednesday.
The Taiwan-based tech firm aims to deliver a premium-tier portable gaming experience and compete with other popular tech giants’ devices such as Lenovo Legion Go, Steam Deck, and the Asus ROG Ally X in the global handheld gaming PC market.

Acer Nitro Blaze 7 key features
Display
Acer Nitro Blaze 7 supports a 7-inch full-HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 7ms response time. The PC’s screen is claimed to have 100% sRGB coverage and is equipped with AMD FreeSync Premium technology.
Processor
The PC also features an AMD Ryzen 7 8840HS processor, paired with AMD Radeon 780M graphics processing unit (GPU). According to the company, it can deliver up to 39 total AI trillion operations per second (TOPS).
AI capabilities
Furthermore, the gaming PC supports on-device AI capabilities with the support of Ryzen AI technology. However, the GPU is coupled with the Radeon Super Resolution technology.
Storage
Acer Nitro Blaze 7 comes with a 2TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD and 16GB of LPDDR5x RAM. It runs on Windows 11, measures 25.6x11.35 x2.25 cm and weighs 670g. It is equipped with USB Type-C 4.0 ports, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Battery
The PC is built on a 50.04Wh battery, and a 65W adapter supporting charging via USB Type-C.

Currently, Acer has not announced the pricing and availability of the Nitro Blaze 7 gaming PC.
