Air Arabia, the UAE-based low-cost airline, has received clearance from Pakistan’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to expand its flight operations across multiple cities in the country.
Reportedly, the addition of flights aims to enhance connectivity between Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, particularly for the many Pakistanis living in the Gulf.
As of July 17, 2025, Air Arabia intends to operate seven weekly flights to Sialkot International Airport while going from three times weekly to seven times weekly. Further, Air Arabia has been authorised to operate five flights weekly to Multan and five flights to Faisalabad, again relative to the CAA.
These expansion plans are to address demand for travel between Pakistan and the Gulf region, particularly during the summer season, often resulting in increased travel volumes due to holidays and family visits.
The new schedule aims to enhance connectivity and provide additional value to passengers with lower costs and frequency of travel between Pakistan and the Gulf region. Concurrently, it aims to bolster trade and business connectivity between both nations.
The CAA told news sources the airline had made the additional slots following its satisfaction of all formalities and receipt of government approval.
Officials further stressed that all new flights would operate in line with Pakistan’s aviation safety and regulatory standards.
