AirSial has begun direct flights from Lahore and Islamabad to Abu Dhabi, expanding travel options for Pakistani passengers flying to the UAE.
The launch was confirmed by Abu Dhabi Airports on Wednesday, making the connectivity for one of the region's busiest travel corridors easier for consumers.
Under this new schedule, AirSial will fly three times a week from Lahore to Zayed International Airport, AUH, and four times a week from Islamabad.
The service will help ease travel for the large Pakistani diaspora and, officials said, strengthen the economic, social, and business ties between Pakistan and the UAE.
It started with the first flight landing at Zayed International Airport and took only 12 minutes from gate to curb arrival.
Passengers were greeted with the availability of over 160 retail outlets, thus making the journey quite smooth.
Abu Dhabi Airports Managing Director and CEO Elena Sorlini added that the expansion is in line with the broader aviation strategy of the emirate, stating that the new AirSial routes further strengthen connectivity, support trade, and ultimately serve diverse communities, including the Pakistani expat population, even more effectively.
AirSial Chairman Fazal Jilani termed the new route a vital bridge between Pakistan and the UAE, connecting families, businesses, and frequent travellers.
