Keynote presentation at WWDC 2024 has recently introduced Apple Intelligence and confirmed the partnership with third-party models such as ChatGPT and Siri via a deal with OpenAI. Apple Senior Vice President (SVP) Craig Federighi also confirmed their plans to work along with these third-party models.
Craig Federighi said: “We’re looking forward to doing integrations with other models, including Google Gemini, for instance, in the future,” Federighi said during a post-keynote conversation.” Federighi added about the Cupertino-based tech giant that “nothing to announce right now, but that’s our general direction.”
Additionally, Apple has integrated with any third-party model for the first time this year. Craig Federighi added, “Now you can do it right through Siri, without going through another tool.”
According to Apple’s executive, Siri is one of the most important features to comprehend which will be asked before letting users go to ChatGPT.
Then, you can communicate with the third-party model. Next, we'll ask, "Do you want to send this photo?" if any useful information is included in your inquiry that you would wish to provide to ChatGPT.
While considering the privacy concerns of all the users Apple would let you complete the transparency and control first.
