Moreover, other enhancements involve an updated web search bar in Safari, a Spotlight search feature, a more natural connection with Siri, and an upgraded model of Siri for Apple smartwatches.
User customisation
iOS 18 allow the users to change app icon colours. In addition, social icons can be shifter blue or finance icons green. This customisation can be right away using custom shortcuts.
Just as the case of accessing widgets, in addition, users will also have the authority to locate apps anywhere on the home screen grid.
Privacy focus
AI features demanding low processing power will run on-device, whereas more requiring ones will operate through the cloud. This way emphasises Apple's privacy advantages.
iOS 18 is ready to be released at the WWDC conference on June 10 with an eye on AI features. Many of these new AI features might be advertised as a "preview" in beta versions ahead of the official release at the conference.
