As Apple's WWDC 2025 keynote is making waves in the tech sphere, Apple Intelligence remained one of the cornerstones of the event, thanks to its countless feature additions and updates to its functionality.

Given that, the company claimed that apps will be directly integrated with AI models on users' devices through on-device processing.

Apple WWDC 2025 event highlights: What's new in Apple Intelligence upgrade

In light of live updates announced at WWDC 2025, Apple Intelligence, Apple's in-house suite of AI features, is now capable of creating new emojis called Genmojis. The AI tool does it by combining existing ones based on user descriptions.

With Apple Intelligence Genmojis, users can customise expressions and backgrounds with the help of ChatGPT.

Following the debut of AI-driven tools last year, many Apple Intelligence features have been released to compatible iPhones and Macs, although the Siri upgrade, which promises improved contextual awareness, remains to be launched.

The new Apple Intelligence update also enhances visual intelligence, and with that, users can now interact more smartly with content. For instance, the iPhone camera can now identify objects and automatically draft calendar invites by extracting relevant details from on-screen events it detects.

Apple is opening Apple Intelligence to developers, giving access to on-device foundation models that don't need an internet connection.

By the end of 2025, Apple Intelligence will support eight more languages, including Danish, Dutch, and Traditional Chinese.
