The main limitations are its corded power design, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi requirement and subscription requirement for advanced AI notifications.
3. Geeni Hawk 3 Outdoor Security Camera
The Geeni Hawk 3 Outdoor Security Camera offers 4MP 2K video and full-color night vision supported by integrated LED spotlights.
The lighting can also work alongside the built-in siren as an active deterrent, while two-way audio allows users to communicate through the camera.
4. Google Nest Cam Outdoor
The Google Nest Cam Outdoor stands apart with its rechargeable battery, allowing users to install it without routing power cables. Its magnetic mounting system also makes placement relatively simple.
The camera records 1080p HDR video and uses on-device processing to identify people, animals and vehicles. It supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi and integrates closely with Google Home.
However, battery life depends on activity levels, while extended video history and familiar face detection require a Nest Aware subscription.
