Bilal Fibres Limited is shifting its business focus to IT, health tech, and electric vehicles (EVs) after continuing to experience operational suspension.

The company announced this, along with the fact that it is developing a new business strategy, in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

Bilal Fibres Limited was incorporated in 1987 in Lahore, Pakistan. It produced and exported yarns such as poly/cotton, viscose, and cotton yarns to Europe, the Far East, and the Middle East.

The company continued to face operational suspension for several months because of business challenges.

According to a notice to the PSX, Bilal Fibres’ operations were fully suspended in the quarter ending June 30, 2025, and no business activities took place.

Regardless, the company’s Board of Directors (BOD) approved a new business proposal to explore the technology and EV sectors as part of a possible business recovery plan.

The company is currently engaged with relevant stakeholders, technical professionals, and consultants to develop a far-reaching business strategy. They believe this shift in focus could allow for recovery while retaining textiles as the primary business focus.
