Activision Blizzard, the American video game giant, announced the launch of one of its most anticipated titles: Call of Duty Black Ops 6, along with a teaser detailing what players can expect.
The company described the game as a “spy action thriller” that blends stealth-based gameplay with action-packed sequences set across Russia, the Middle East, the United States, and Southern Europe.
COD Black Ops 6 Campaign
Set in the years following Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War, the campaign links past events to Black Ops 2 flashbacks.
The storyline brings back familiar characters like Frank Woods and Russell Adler, joined by two newcomers: Troy Marshall and Jane Harrow. Woods and Marshall find themselves under pressure to form a new team, introducing fresh faces like Felix Neumann and Sevati Dumas.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Multiplayer
The Black Ops 6 multiplayer mode stands out with features that seamlessly tie into Campaign and Zombie modes. Activision reworked the movement system, enabling players to sprint, slide, and dive in all directionsand combine these for dynamic gameplay. A new supine-prone mode also allows for 360-degree rotation, offering more control and flexibility.
Additionally, the new Intelligent Movement system includes three assistive features:
1. Sprint Assist
2. Mantle Assist
3. Crouch Assist
These are designed to reduce the number of button presses required for complex movement combinations.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 Zombie mode
The fan-favorite Zombie mode returns, where players must survive increasingly difficult waves of zombies. The mode introduces two new maps: Liberty Falls and Terminus, while retaining the classic hidden secrets the franchise is known for.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 release date, price
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is scheduled for release on October 25, available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Windows.
Microsoft also confirmed that the game will be included for Game Pass subscribers.
While Xbox users will have access to the Digital Cross-Gen Bundle, PC players will receive the standard version. All players who pre-order will get access to the Woods Operator Pack and early open beta.
