Changan Pakistan on Thursday announced the launch date of its one of the most-awaited SUV, the Deepal S05, making it the company’s first Range-Extended Electric Vehicle (REEV).
The announcement was made through a formal teaser on the company’s social media accounts with an engaging phrase as its caption: “Freedom isn’t imagined — it’s experienced.”
Deepal SO5 launch in Pakistan
Deepal SO5 is set to debut in Pakistan on November 14, 2025, introducing in the C-segment SUV class, combining electric ingenuity with the capability of an extensive range to create an option for Pakistani customers that brings the best of both worlds.
The S05’s design is spearheaded by the Volkswagen Group Design Team Head Klaus Zyciora, and features a look ahead of its time that has already gained recognition worldwide, including the 'iF Design Award'.
It is produced from the EV-first platform, which presents the largest width and longest wheelbase of any C-segment SUV in Pakistan, allowing for a commanding presence on the road.
The interior of the Deepal S05 accommodates both a spacious and technology-rich experience with a clean aesthetic and premium materials throughout, featuring a fully digital cockpit. The extended wheelbase allows for significant legroom and comfort for families or long-distance travelling.
The highlight of the Deepal S05 is its range-extended electric system, where the wheels are powered by electric motors and a small petrol engine functions as a generator to recharge the battery.
The range-extended package results in a generous range of over 1,000 kilometres, which is critical in Pakistan, where the EV charging infrastructure is limited.
