Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV coming to Netflix games

During the fourth edition of Geeked Week 2024 presentation on Thursday (September 19), Netflix announced several new games adding to its impressive gaming lineup, including Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV.

Though known for streaming movies and TV shows, the streaming service also offers several mobile games for Android and iOS devices. Subscribers can download these games by accessing the app on their phones and navigating to the Mobile Games section without any additional cost.

Netflix games announced at Geeked Week 2024

Alongside Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV, Netflix also announced several other games including;

  • Don’t Starve Together
  • Tales of the Shire
  • Lab Rat
  • Carmen Sandiego
  • Monument Valley
  • Sponge Bob Bubble Pop F.U.N
  • Battleship

Civilization VI

Civilization VI is a turn-based strategy game created by lauded game designer Sid Meier. In the game, players go head-to-head with history's greatest leaders while building an empire to stand the test of time. This vast world-building game gives players the tools to start a civilisation and guide it from the first Stone Age settlement to the stars.

Street Fighter IV

Netflix is set to host the Champion Edition of Street Fighter IV featuring all 32 warriors released over the game’s lifetime, where iOS and Android users will be able to compete against each other online exclusively via the platform.

In Street Fighter IV, players can jump into the action and can have an instant familiarity with the controls. It also features numerous settings and tutorials that put gamers on the path to victory.

Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV release date

Netflix revealed that both the upcoming games, Civilization VI and Street Fighter IV are coming soon on the platform but it is yet to announce the launch date of either game.

Furthermore, Netflix is also working on a game based on its renowned series Squid Game and might release it alongside new seasons of this show.
