eTurbo Motors on Wedneday unveiled its fastest and most economical electric motorcycles, marking a significant milestone in the country's electric vehicle (EV) landscape. The company, during a launch event in Karachi, announced an investment of Rs500 million in a state-of-the-art production facility in Karachi’s SITE area with an initial capacity to produce 10,000 motorcycles annually.

eTurbo Motors CEO Sheikh Osama Nadeem, while addressing the ceremony, stated: “Our vision is to provide affordable, eco-friendly, and reliable transportation for every Pakistani.”

Nadeem highlighted that after extensive research into both local and international markets, the company observed: that most of the companies were using lead-acid batteries, while eTurbo decided to utilise Li-ion batteries in its electric motorcycles.”

Provincial Minister Sharjeel Memon shared that the Sindh government has plans to launch EV taxis in Karachi soon. "We have also requested Chinese automobile companies to invest in EVs in Pakistan," he said.

During the event, eTurbo Motors launched six innovative electric bike models, each offering a stylish, eco-friendly, and affordable option: ECO, ThunderBolt, EVO, ThunderBird, Pulsar, and Warrior.

Memon emphasised the importance of lifestyle changes, urging users to switch to electric motorcycles to help reduce environmental degradation and improve air quality in Pakistan.

He further stressed the importance of transitioning towards a cleaner environment: “If Pakistan begins receiving orders for EVs from foreign countries, exporting electric vehicles would be excellent news for the people.”
