Final Fantasy 14 has revealed a fresh set of cosmetic items to close out 2025, including new rewards tied to the annual Heavensturn seasonal event and a premium, techno-inspired outfit available through the game’s Online Store.
The update comes shortly after a challenging period for the popular MMORPG, which faced server disruptions in North America around the launch of Patch 7.4.
While initial reports pointed to a possible DDoS attack, later findings suggested the issue stemmed from a faulty network node operated by Japanese telecom company NTT. Square Enix rolled out a hotfix on Christmas Day to address remaining problems.
Shortly after the patch dropped, Square Enix revealed the Eastern Technoattire cosmetic set, which is now live on the Final Fantasy 14 Online Store for $18.
The set includes five wearable items that can be worn by any character, and each has two dye channels. Players can try out the outfit with the Dreamfitting feature and even purchase the set as a gift for other players.
Along with the high-end cosmetics, Square Enix confirmed the Heavensturn event's return, Final Fantasy 14’s in-game celebration inspired by the Lunar New Year.
This year's festivities are based on the Year of the Horse. Heavensturn will start on December 31 at 10am Eastern, immediately after the Starlight Celebration ends, and last until January 15.
Players of level 15 and above can participate by accessing Limsa Lominsa's Upper Decks and activating the quest "Seize the Neigh." Completion of the event will reward players with the Uma-no-Unicolt minion and a Gilded Screen furnishing. Heavensturn items from previous years are also available for purchase through the Online Store.
Additionally, Fantasia potions, which change the appearance of one's character, are on sale until January 8, another added incentive to celebrate a brand new year in Eorzea.
