PlayStation Plus subscribers on the Extra and Premium tiers have several new co-op experiences to look forward to, as Sony’s next content update goes live on Tuesday, December 16.

The update will add eight games to PS Plus Extra and one title to PS Plus Premium, expanding the service’s lineup just in time for the holiday season.

Among the newly added titles, five games feature co-op gameplay, making them ideal for players looking to team up with friends or family.

Upcoming PS Plus Extra games

The upcoming PS Plus Extra games include:

    • Cat Quest 3
    • Granblue Fantasy: Relink
    • LEGO Horizon Adventures
    • PAW Patrol: Grand Prix
    • PAW Patrol World
    • Planet Coaster 2
    • Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

The ones standing out for co-op are Cat Quest 3, Granblue Fantasy: Relink, LEGO Horizon Adventures, PAW Patrol World, and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty.

    Cat Quest 3

Cat Quest 3 is a pirate-themed action RPG that supports full local co-op, allowing players to explore its colourful world from start to finish.

    Granblue Fantasy: Relink

Granblue Fantasy: Relink also falls into the action RPG category with its co-op missions that unlock as players advance.

    LEGO Horizon Adventures

LEGO Horizon Adventures offers a more family-friendly co-op game while recreating the narrative of Horizon Zero Dawn with LEGO humour and gameplay.

PAW Patrol World and PAW Patrol: Grand Prix

PAW Patrol World is geared towards young kids, providing simple co-op exploration, which works great if parents are playing together.

PAW Patrol: Grand Prix introduces some multiplayer racing into the fold.

    Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty

Rounding out the cooperative offerings is Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, a punishing Soulslike action game that includes the ability to summon friends in for backup when things get hairy.

When it launched, the title saw largely positive reviews and is a solid addition to the PS Plus catalogue.
