Fortnite, the world-famous battle royale game by Epic Games, might soon let players team up and betray each other, all for rewards.

According to a Fortnite leak, a new Limited Time Mode (LTM) called "Party Crashers" is expected to launch on September 18, 2025.

The mode will be part of the Zero Build experience, where players focus on strategy and survival instead of building structures.

Fortnite's ‘Party Crashers’ mode

Fortnite's Party Crashers mode is rumoured to bring an exciting new spin on the game by giving players the ability to build temporary alliances with any enemies in the area using proximity voice chat.

Once both players choose to trust each other, they can share resources or decide to betray one another for loot and eliminations for themselves, which is the leaked tagline, “Make Friends. Break Friends.”

This mode will introduce group-locked chests and supply drops that require two or more players to activate, creating tension as players have to weigh loyalty and betrayal to earn an upper hand.

Reportedly, completing special quests in "Party Crashers" will grant free rewards, including the new Evie X skin, and overall makes Party Crashers one of the most thrilling LTMs ahead of Fortnitemares 2025.

Moreover, fans on social media are already divided, with many excited for the possible drama and unpredictability Party Crashers could lead to, while others are nervous about toxicity towards casual players. Since it is an LTM, Epic Games may be using Party Crashers as an experiment to see how players interact before a decision is made to add similar features to the main game.
