Microsoft has confirmed that developers Turn 10 Studios and Playground Games will continue to support Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Motorsport.

This announcement follows rumours regarding the Forza franchise's future as a result of extensive layoffs in Microsoft's gaming division.

Fans will continue to receive support for both franchises, the company promised.

Through the official Forza Motorsport account, Microsoft posted, "Dear Forza Community, we know many of you have questions about what's next for the Forza franchise, and we appreciate the support of our incredible community."

"We wanted to reassure players that Forza Motorsport and Forza Horizon 5 will still be supported by Turn 10 and Playground Games."

In light of Turn 10 Studios' recent layoffs, this confirmation is noteworthy.

Cuts at Microsoft's gaming division in July reportedly had an impact on the studio, which has been creating the Forza Motorsport series since 2005.

Several studios experienced layoffs and project cancellations as a result of these cuts.

Former Turn 10 employee Fred Russell asserted that the team working on the racing simulation was "no more" and that the studio had lost the entire Forza Motorsport team.

The most recent Turn 10 update, however, demonstrates that the team is still working to support the game. Indeed, information regarding future Forza Motorsport content has been released by Turn 10 Studios.

Two featured tours will be included in the game's Career mode when it launches in 2023. The Ringer Tour will be accessible in September, while the Track Toys Tour is currently live.

Fans will probably remain interested and involved in the game thanks to this new content.

Fable, which is scheduled for release in 2026, is presently being developed by Playground Games, the company that created the Forza Horizon series.

In contrast, Forza Horizon 5 has been a hit on the PlayStation since its April release. With over three million copies shipped on Sony's PS5, it is the best-selling game of 2025.

This accomplishment demonstrates the popularity of the game and the robustness of the Forza franchise.
