2026 is set to be an incredible year for Xbox players, who loves to play new games, as the Xbox Developer Direct showcase has returned this month, featuring updates on upcoming first-party Microsoft games like Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and Beast of Reincarnation.
Microsoft, in a blog post, stated that the fourth edition of the show will be broadcast on January 22. which will feature two upcoming titles from Playground Games: Fable and Forza Horizon 6.
The studio will display the first extended look at Fable and debut gameplay for Forza Horizon 6. Moreover, Playground Games will share Fable gameplay, scheduled to launch in later this year after a string of delays. The title is comfirmed for PC and Xbox Series S/X.
Forza Horizon 6 was revealed at Tokyo Game Show, where the racing game's Japanese setting was announced; however, at Developer Direct 2026, Playground Games will showcase Forza Horizon 6 gameplay, alongside a deep dive into the open world racer. The game will initially launch on Xbox Series S/X and PC in 2026 and PS5 users will get the title later this year.
The third game, Beast of Reincarnation, is also confirmed for Developer Direct, which will get an in-depth look at the event. The developer company, Game Freak will share details on game features and reveal gameplay. In Beast of Reincarnation, a profound and dangerous world unfolds in post-apocalyptic Japan.
